LIOSA 2009 was a fantastic success with over 110 people in attendance. I hope everyone had as much fun as I did. I look forward to seeing everyone next year! Stay tuned for details on LIOSA 2010! About 2nd Annual LIOSA!!

Lindy In Old San Antonio (LIOSA) is an annual workshop that brings the best known swing dance instructors to the Alamo City. Open to ANYONE, LIOSA promises to be a funfilled weekend full of dancing, learning, and bonding with dancers from across Texas.

LIOSA kicks off Friday night with a kick off lesson with our headliner instructors SYLVIA SYKES and NICK WILLIAMS!! This exciting lesson will be followed by the LIOSA kickoff dance. Saturday will be filled with workshops of all levels and an evening dance. Workshops will continue on Sunday afternoon and will end at 5pm. See the detailed schedule.

BALBOA JACK & JILL CONTEST!!

We'll be having a Balboa Jack & Jill contest on Saturday night of the competition. The top prize will be Free Lindyfest passes to the winning couple!! (or a refund if you're already registered... since you should be). Sign up for the competition at the DJ booth during the socials or at the Registration table.

Workshop Cost

Price includes all the Saturday/Sunday workshops and the social dances on Friday and Saturday nights. A La Carte pricing will also be available:

Early Registration - Ends January 19th

Normal Registration - January 19th - February 12th

Saturday Only (Classes/Dance): $55

Sunday Only (Classes): $40

Dances Only: $20

Housing

Housing is now closed to new registrants.

Venues

LIOSA will be held at two venues.

Jewish Community Center

All Friday night events (Kickoff Lesson and Social), and the Saturday night events (Social, Balboa Competition, Instructor Jam) will be held in the Jewish Community Center.

UTSA Campus Recreation Building

Saturday workshops and Sunday workshops will be held on the UTSA 1604 Campus in the Campus Recreation Building. The studios are all on the second floor. On the detailed campus map it is building 21 "Recreation & Wellness Center". Lot 5 has some pay parking (5 hour max, you'll have to refill it) and Building 37 - Thermal Plant is also a parking garage. Both of these locations are paid parking ($1/hour) No other parking is allowed without a valid UTSA Parking Pass.
